A spiritual successor, Xenoblade Chronicles X, was released for Wii U in December of 2015. Xenoblade Chronicles, is a science fiction role-playing video game developed by Monolith Soft and published by Nintendo for the Wii console, and later ported to the new Nintendo 3DS.
